Give it up Mike... Obama is currently holding a whooping 38% in the polls here in Arkansas. Fortunatly most of us have recovered from the delusions brought about by the Clinton flu bug.
What in the world does John McCain's politcal theater appearance in D.C. and ever changing positions have to do with Bill Clinton or Arkansas's 6 electoral votes? I don't know of anyone crazy enough to predict Obama winning Arkansas.

I'm sure John McCain would MUCH rather answer friendlier questions from audience members than journalist moderators who've studied his voting record and his stances on every issue.
You know, it's all about that big, ugly, liberal news media. They only come out at night, have huge teeth, and can bound buildings. They are scariest people imaginable.
Mike are you going to vote for Obama?

The changing positions argument is played out across every polotician there is. all of them do. But I will say this, at least he takes a position. In Obama's time in DC the majority of his votes are recorded not as a "yea" or a "na" but simply "present". Funny I thought you didnt want more of the same , yet you support someone who is just a warm body in a seat.

Scotty, your mixing your participles here.
Obama's "present" votes were all done in the Illinois Legislature where did in deed vote "present" (or "im a coward" as my dad would call it). However, that is not an option as a senator.
Obama is clearly on the record as a U. S. Senator as the most liberal member...

Firstly, your facts are wrong. As Ferd and others have pointed out, you can't vote "present" in "D.C.". Those present votes you're alluding to happened in the Illinois Senate. I'm not a big fan of present votes either, but let's stick to the facts if you want to talk about his majority of votes in D.C.
You're absolutely right. He isn't afraid to take a position. It's just that they change fairly quickly these days (aka against the AIG buyout before he was for it, the fundamentals were strong except he meant the American worker was strong, and he's not going to debate unless there is a plan in place except he's going to debate even though the House Repubs are a 100 miles away from agreeing to anything).

this is what I thought.... so I wonder why you continue the McCain attacks and the Obama defense.
if you are voting for Barr, I would expect Obama would be worse for you than anyone.
Im tellin ya Bro. Arkansans got it bad. Most are born and bred with the Clinton mentality. Some around here will shoot you over a McCain/Palin bumper sticker. And they can't tell you anything until the local news affiliates tell them.
and Mike, I do find it humorous that a state that just voted in 2 Democratic Senators would turn around and vote Republican for President. And what even funnier is the fact that those senators have voted against there party majority most of the time.

Barack Obama is a free wheeling spender of my tax money, but so is the Republican party. There is no fiscal conserative to the Republican party anymore.
If you decide you want to vote on conservative core principles and make the Republican party accountable again, you can always join me, Ferd.

Scotty, Arkansas is a really interesting political state. John Brummet wrote a piece on this a while back for the Gazette. He discussed how, other than Presidential elections where party rules the day, in most other elections the voters actually vote the candidate and not the party. Arkansas is unique in it's demographic make up and really the swing vote capability in each election. You have the conservative, affluent northwest corner and you have the impoverished delta area of souteast Arkansas who vote liberal.
IMO, Arkansas democrats are very centrists and conservative and that's why they make it to the Senate and Congress. Bill Clinton was centrist in a lot of his policies.
