I think my own position on this issue is crystal clear, this is financial ruin and disaster for the entire country. Rather then let these bad debts die a well deserved death and protect the remaining asset value in place (throughout the entire country), the inflationary cycle this ridiculous bailout plan will create will literally explode inflation by flooding the entire economy with even more bogus money.

The American dollar has to be in serious trouble when all of this settles out. When the government issues $700+ billion in new government bonds and basically prints the money to pay off wall street's greed, inflation will soar and the dollar will plummet.
I hate to say it, but the dollars only chance is that our bad economy severely effects the world economy and brings down the Euro's value as well.
Add all of that to the debt of accrued over the last eight years, and one does wonder.
