You being serious? Or are you wanting to blast me then?
Thinking of getting my lastname on me, something for my daughter and a cross or something showing my faith. Beyond that not sure if I will ever get anything beyond that. But again might not get anything.

Women should not EVEN go there - - nothing more disgusting than a wrinkled butterfly or a sagging rose (after aging)!

You identify with an ungodly sub-culture when you go the tattoo route.

How so. Sub-culture? Are you serious? Gotta be kidding. There is nothing sub-culture about it. Either you are ok with it (no sin) or you ain't and believe (it is sin). Simple. There are tattoos that are off limits. Demonic signs, nudes, etc. Similar to certain clothing one might not want to wear.
How in the name of all that is Holy could a tattoo showing one faith identify with an ungodly thing?
Also define the apperance of evil? Like something that looks evil or what..try to make sense out of the next post please.

Re: Tattoos-What do ya think?
This thread is funny. I like it.
Am I identifying with an ungodly subculture if I get a tattoo on my little toe?

?? I don't get ur point here.
my point was responding to your idea that tatt's were somehow always vain. my point is that if i put something like 'jesus is god' how is that vain and isn't this statement literally authored of God?
i'm with jt on this one. it's not all bad. i've considered getting one too. something with my faith and something about my boys. idk. maybe someday.

Well it just give one the motivation to stay fit. Cause Lawd knows that you would not want to get married later in life and be with the new husband and have a butterfly that is 8 miles wide cause of age. Some people ought to judge whether they would be cool with that. Same goes for men too. my wife's cousin has his name tatted on his belly. It was cool years ago but it is now the largest 'Rodriguez' I ever seen. lol

i'm with you on this one.
didn't jesus identify himself with sub-cultures? he hung out with the dregs of society of his day to the point that the religous types labele him as such.

I have nothing to gain by blasting you....really, NOTHING.
Your actions would provide a 'real case' example for a discussion on a discussion board.
If you did apply a permanent ink image into your skin that depicts your last name or something for your daughter, or a cross, would you have it placed on your body in a place that would cause it to be generally viewable by the public?
Because if you WOULD....I would say you are doing it from a motive that foremost involves being seen by men. It would be a human adornment, in the form of an iconic image, for men to see something because of your desire for that to be preceived about you. That just doesn't add up to God thing in my mind....its an attempt to substitute a visually-broadcasted statement for a true personal witness.
....no secret attempts at 'gotcha' posting here....

I agree with ya U2 fan you. I think that cons can make a mountain out of a mole hill over this and other things. Which is WAY too far.
