Scripture judges the lifestyle very clearly.

Re: Ray Boltz????

Someone coming out at 52 is quite the anomaly.

Ray's songs were/are awesome.

This is really disheartening.

Re: Ray Boltz????

Here is his own words...taken from Washington Blade..

Boltz admits to some nervousness, but says ultimately, he isn’t worried.

He doesn’t want to get into debates about scripture and has no plans to “go into First Baptist or an Assembly of God church and run in there and say, ‘I’m gay and you need to love me anyway.’”

For him, the decision to come out is much more personal.

“This is what it really comes down to,” he says. “If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I’m going to live. It’s not like God made me this way and he’ll send me to hell if I am who he created me to be … I really feel closer to God because I no longer hate myself.”

Re: Ray Boltz????

Isn't this the ultimate excuse, "God made me that way?"

Hey, and Sam, "Hard to imagine what he went through all those years..." Are you serious?? He goes through what any sinner-in-secret goes through.

Now, he's just admitting that he's been a sinner since he was born, or, a little kid. Now he needs the Holy Ghost, to be baptized in the name of Jesus, and let God destroy the sin in his life.

He doesn't need salvation just because he's written a bunch of gooey "annointed" songs?? I don't have any passes to hand out. Only God gives those out.

Sherri, do you think that there is some validity to the statement that people make when they say they were "born that way"? I don't know. I wonder about it sometimes because we've all known little boys who acted very effeminate. And then we've seen those same little boys grow up to be openly gay.

Please don't take me wrong. I am IN NO WAY saying that I believe that it is ok to be gay. I absolutely believe that the homosexual lifestyle is sin.

My question is: If that is the case - and I believe it is - then why would God create some people with those kinds of natural tendencies?

Or are they just making it up from day one?

I don't know an answer. I just question. I do know however that it is amazing to me how many 'artsy-fartsy' people end up "coming out of the closet" at some point. Wonder why that would be???

I think this is sad. Just sad.

I see it this way...we are all born with the desire to sin. It's our nature to do so. But with the Holy Ghost, we can be overcomers of those sins, and I think homosexuality is included in that. It's really no different than other compulsions to sin that we all face every day.

That's my two cents, and with the cost of gas lately, it's not worth as much as it was three days ago.

His biography says he was born in 1953. This would make him 55 or 54 if he has not yet had his birthday this year.
Yes, I agree...I love his music but now this news is very very sad.

They are not natural tendencies Margie, and the Word tells us that. That it is unnatural for men to lie with men, and women to lie with women. It is an abomination to God. He did not make Ray Boltz or any other gay/lesbian that way. It is a life they chose themselves for earthly pleasures that last for a season but that can send their souls to hell for eternity. That is what the Word tells us.

You sound very bitter!

And I'll still buy his music!
