I could afford to go to Gen Conf and pay their "toll fee" too but have no intentions of doing so.... there are other conferences I hold in higher regard....

This is what I don't get ... how can it be in debt??? ... seriously ...

This is not the US gov't that can deficit spend ....

They got the money from somewhere to fund the last few GC's

Where did it come from ??? Was it loaned? Did they dip into other org funds?

Are we saying there are outstanding bills from previous GC's?

Someone please tell me ... how they can claim to have this debt ??? Are they filing bankruptcy if the $25 fee is not issued??

I need to say since I haven't heard the other side I really should temper my responses.

There may be more to the story than we know. Probably takes a person that was involved to reveal it, but I seriously doubt that we happen.

We have to pay to go to General Conference...where business is conducted for the organization that we pay $300-400 and some a year to..after our ministerial fees were raised last year........not including the district dues we pay.
