The good folks of the UPC need to be aware of the hypersensitivity to the "damage control" that those on the extreme are criticizing. Whenever they attempt to placate the extremists, the extremists will always bite them back. The answer should be - "Later" to the extremists.

Holiness is an essential part of the Christian life. It should be preached without compromise and without fear and waffling. But, IMHO, real Bible holiness has nothing to do with the sight of a woman's elbow that "greeted" me when I looked up Scott's church's web site. These CAF guys desperately need to get a life.
Some good advice that Rush has been giving our President for the past 8 years concerning the Left in this country.

Ah, see? That is not what I meant at all. Go figure...

Understanding the reality of the wrong of men that lashed out in this case will never give me the right to do what I condemn them for. Is that really hard to understand or just unpalatable because it takes away the opportunity to criticize a conservative?

BTW, keep in mind that I am advocating mere Christianity on both sides of the fence. Obviously it was violated on that Forum. (Isn't there some kind of guideline here about posting things from other Forums? Just asking as I really cannot recall.)

Wait a minute here, in this situation you cannot separate the man from the attitude. I will stand against attitudes but when those attitudes are spewed by small minded, foul mouthed so called Holy Ghost filled men, I will slam them because they are the embodiment of the attitude or spirit.

Your moral equivalence fails to work. Calling these guy's discussion a "hen house" isn't morally equivalent to their charges of "queers" and such.

This is where I see the difference - the attitude.

Hmmm, sorry. We will have to agree to disagree on that one. IMO true Christianity does not allow for that perspective. It does allow for the ones speaking such things to be confronted personally. Not via an internet Forum by people who are really not confronting them at all.

I say all of this in light of the fact that I regularly address issues, not individuals. A good practice in ForumLand, IMO.

I would be careful calling these individuals conservatives, for there are several conservative men of honor and dignity that I could never ever imagine them having this evil righteous indignation, I would call this conservanazism.
