I hope we don't make every thread about hair now. But let me just say that I believe the Bible when it says that the shadow of Peter healed, I believe the Bible when it says that the cloths that Peter sent out healed. I don't believe that the Power was derived from either. And I don't think that those things being used detracts from the Power...because nothing can detract from the Power. I don't know any Scriptural basis for Peter using the cloths in the first place (Maybe some of the "Theological debate room" crowd can help me out.
My biggest problem with these type of things is not really the using of these symbols, it's the selling of those symbols. I don't believe Peter or any of the true Apostles would have. Why would you not want people to have these things if you really believed in the power. At times it looked like I was looking at any catalog site on the web.

I also can't believe how hypocritical St. Mark is.

He just rent his clothes and sat in ashes over the LS thread, and now he posts this?

What gives?

I think St. Mark has a serious double standard.

Why is what this man is doing any worse than what LS promoted?

Both promise phenomenal results rooted in faith in inanimate objects rather than Jesus Christ.

I postulate that he put out this thread to even the playing field ... and to get reaction ...

What he does not understand as that most here see error in both HOLY HARDWARE AND HOLY HAIR ...

and affiliation to ideology doesn't sway our love for truth ... no matter what our differences are.

I agree completely with you. And honestly, when I first heard him refer to the "blood of Jesus oil" it triped my religious ears. But I realize like you that it is just something that will cause faith to be released in many people.

If he offered it for sale, like he has been accused of on this thread, I would really have a problem with it, but it is free. Of course, he will send letters asking people to "partner" with him. But I really see no difference in that and what I do on a Sunday morning in our church. Mine is face to face and his is by mail. I'll give a free prayer cloth and I have oil bottles I will pass out to those who request it. NO magic in the oil, prayer clothes OR HAIR, LOL.

U3, I don't really know a lot about this particular person, but I'm just saying what I see. Maybe a $100 "donation" for a shawl is not the same as charging $100. Perhaps the credit cards whose info is arrayed just like any other site that is selling will no the difference All of these types that I have come across do specify a "donation" amount. I have been tempted to call some of them and order and make it plain that I have no interest in "donating" just to see what happens.

Btw, how is Charlotte? I spent about 15 years living in the Avery Co area (Beach Mnt, Sugar Mnt). I came down off the "Mount of Zion" every once in a while and drove to Charlotte.

I do believe Woody Martin gives this away at no charge to those that call and ask for it. That is what I remember hearing anyway.

Like I said, I had never heard of this person before, but in scrolling his site I did see something about a $100 "donation" for the shawl. That is very typical for what's out there today as they have a myriad of reasons that they can't sell for profit.

Charlotte is my wife's city, I really do not like this place. But don't get me started on Charlotte. If you grace us out of "Zion" on occasion, let me know and I will host you for lunch and then visit you in Zion!!
