Of course best friends are going to let you down....and you will let them down...but with those people it was a learning experience that you go through together and come back together again closer than ever.

Fair-weather friends are not necessarily those that use you but are they are with you when things are well and it is in their best interest to be your friend, but...when the chips are down they are no where to be found. This leaves you with feelings of abandonment and rejection but if you look at it from a different perspective...they are just not strong enough to listen or handle some of the issues that might transfer to them.
