Mark, why don't you care?

I didn't say I don't care It's just not my problem
to deal with. I'm not too much into the politics of it all

Do you care Mark about the loss of churches in the fellowship your church isn't affiliated with .. but your pastor possesses a fellowship card with?

LOL! you are funny Dan.
The churches that left had really not been fellowshipping
in the UPC for a long time. they had their own camps and
meetings. I think it was best

I don't know anything about the organization as a whole anymore; we've been gone for 17 years. But anytime a church or organization just "holds its own" and doesn't grow, something is wrong. There's a whole lost world out there!!! Any living thing will grow. I pray that the UPC will find out whatever it is that is needed to thrive and explode, as well as the individual churches in it.

Any casual observer would say the same thing ... and imagine if one truly cares.
Good post, Sherri.

Yes
I asked a missionary who is here on deputation and he said that it was only 80 churches -- not a big deal. I always considered Wilson's church quite influential myself.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

Edward Demming, famous socialogist who turned Japan around, said that 80% of the problems could easily be attributed to leadership.
