My belief: God could care less about these things. Sure, He might will something to happen in these situations , but it won't be for someone to necessarily win anything. He knows the heart of the pray-er. It would seem most of those hearts are simply asking God to fulfill a selfish desire.

Eh?
You mean God could NOT care less about these things....anyways, Yeah I don't think God cares about these events, but He does care about people...what was her mom praying for?

I believe God listens to all prayers. However, I would have to really know what Doolittle's mamma was praying to really make a better judgment about what He may have thought of it.

I don't think he cares one whit.

Consider the constant state of thankfulness we should be in for the cross? When you consider the cross, and the blood and our redemption, things like the Super Bowl and American Idol are so trivial.

This is sensitive to me because I have prayed for my daughter and my wife when they were sick, and you know what? They remained sick. What does this mean? To me, that regardless of what happens now, we should be in a constant state of thankfulness for what Jesus did for us, regardless of whether we experience anything good, ever again.

I remember praying before softball games in a church league. All our "spirit filled" players sometimes acted our worse, said worse things, and had worse attitudes then all the members of the harlot church we were playing against.

I don't think God cares about it one whit...how does it further his kingdom?
