Re: Insurance Settlement

Got a call from ICBC the insurance company and they want to settle.
I countered thier offer & she said that she would get back to me.

Re: Insurance Settlement

ron, You're talking a serious, life changing injury here. A million dollars would not fully compensate you and her for this loss.

Indeed...

I have a friend right now who was in an accident and has severe back trouble...

They are talking 3-10 million right now and every moocher in town is buddying up to him (he was also made to feel so much better by comments from his pastor at the time of the wreck such as... what would the tithes on that be?)

I was telling him the other day... if you get 3 million for instance... dude... that is not a lot of money.

First there are doctor bills, both present and future... BIG MONEY...

Then he will have to pay back the money he and his family is getting now (2 years plus into this right now) to live on plus interest...

Then he has to figure... this isn't lump sum and you go back to work... he can't work anymore... this has to last you and your family the rest of their lives.

In that picture 3 million is a worrisome amount.

Re: Insurance Settlement

Bro. Ron I have been down this road before also.

I was hit head-on by a drunk driver. My insurance company sued the other driver and I won a settlement of $500,000.00, which I received not one cent!

I have had 4 surgeries from this accident and pray I don't have to have more. I still have problems with my leg to this day.

Money can never replace health as has been stated, but even if you think you have been "fixed" up and won't have more surgery, you never know.

I pray God will bless you with what you deserve and wisdom as to how to use it.

God Bless.

You should hire a lawyer to review the old case.

The person who hit you many now have money.

They have a lifetime to pay out.

I carry uninsured coverage.

My wife was hit and our insurance has already settled on 4 times the value of the doctor bills for her and my son.

American Family will now go after the driver.

We did have a lawyer who took 20%.

It took us 1 year and we just received the payouts last week.
