It is great church! They do drag on about the money a little long, but it seems like last year it wasn't as bad. Seems like it was during the day service, I can't exactly remember, I tend to zone out while that is going on.

In the past, the WD has had 2 ladies retreats, one for the north end of the district, and one for the south. The individuals conferences ran 600 to 700 each in attendance. This year is a special year, because it is the last conference for the old WD. They are only doing one, it is being billed as a reunion. So far registration is only at about 700, but as had been stated, many register at the door. They are hoping for at least 1,000.

There, everything you could ever possibly want to know about the WD ladies retreat! I am a veritable fountain of knowledge!!

Melanie Elms?!?!? If she was single, I'd be chasing her. She is drop-dead gorgeous! If California brings people in like her just for music, it must be a pretty awesome conference. If it is true only about half pre-register, then it looks like they will easily go past the 1,000 mark.

I haven't been to every one of them until the last 4 or 5 years, but the first one that I went to had a woman speaker. This years speaker was supposed to be Sis. As far as format, it starts on Thursday night, regular service; Friday during the day there are several speakers, and then it breaks for the afternoon, night service; Saturday is one morning service with several speakers.

As a matter of fact, the only man who I have ever seen minister at the conference is Bro. Mullings, they usually had him do the last session on Saturday.
