If he is right very few on the mission fields will have a chance...lol
I think we should send him to the jungles and he will be glad for just a storefront in the homeland.

I think the original post was about the American consumer. Of course, the consumers wants needs in Brazil or any other country would be different.

Americans are spoiled!

Consider all of the small churches through out the UPC and the ministers of same that wouldn't change a thing( we're not talkin' doctrine!!).

Since America has been programmed to be entertained perhaps we'd better be at the top of our game. Good singing(annointed), good preaching and normal offerings; please don't take up valuable time promoting fund raising of any type. I especially liked that part of the bylaws of the original PAJC from early 1940's.
I think we have to put our best foot forward... give our best to God and to people... in His name... because we represent Him. Nevertheless many churches can't afford state of the art everything.

And one thing I've learned... it takes the same things to have souls one in small country churches with a piano and two guitars as it does in the church I am at now (and grew up in) that has the whole nine yards.

Win them on your knees and accross Kitchen tables.. and they won't care much if your church looks like a theatre and your piano player never misses a note.

I see "tons" of flab going up and down streets , in theatre seats, on airplanes and you can bet your bottom dollar they are not all UPC-so why make a statement concerning an organization or a group of people's church association. The fat doesn't necessarily have to be on the lower portion of the bottom, it is often from the neck up- mainly just above the chin.
Are you calling UPCer's a bunch of fat heads???

No m'am I most certainly am not and you should know better than that!

I am not impressed with UPC'ers being labelled as the large ones! There is overweight people everywhere, walk down the street, look out your window, just out outside of your home or maybe look inside of a person's home and they don't only find fat UPC'ers !

Just above the chin is not the head! The head is attached to the neck....just above the neck would be a head!

UPC'ers are not all fat and if they were oveweight why would it matter?

Sorry to have hi=jacked this thread and also this posting is not meant to offensive to anyone ...I am defending the UPC'ers whether I am one or not doesn't matter. I have lots of friends in the UPC and actually there are just a few that might be overweight however they are just as much a friend as my skinny ones...they all could go to the theatre seats with me.

The previous post of mine was not meant to make something out of it that wasn't in it.....
