I believe you can have both...separation and love. There has to be a balance.

Well...... I would not say it is a balance. I think you cannot have ONE without the other. That is, cannot have the TRUE element without the other.
A balance requires two separated elements to level the other up. But there IS NO true separation from the world without love, since LOVE IS HOW we are distinguished. And there is no true love if it is not distinguishing us as His.

Basically, Yes.
Not everyone but a whole lot.

Wow, I'm hoping that is a joke, because if it isn't, it sounds an awful lot like you are sitting yourself in the judgement seat. And from what I read in the Bible, that is going to put a whole lot of attention on your own life when it comes time for the real judgement, by the real Judge.

I don't know about "bitterness" but it does affect how we think about another brother or sister who may possibly have an even more consecrated walk with God than we do.
Too much unjust measuring and judging. Proper teaching would eliminate a lot of this.

Oh, but it is so much easier to focus on the other stuff.
I'm not saying that I don't believe in the other stuff, but the things listed above are the hard things, the things it really takes work achieve.
It is so much easier to ignore this stuff and make a big deal out of what you can point your fingers at.

You are correct, scripture does say that it is our love one to another that proves to the world that we are His. But, just because you believe in separation (dress), does not negate that love to one another or the world.
Unfortunately, there are many who do not have both, but there are those who do. I believe in separation and love for one another and the lost! You've got to be balanced!

I would also agree with you on one thing...the outward CANNOT be stressed ABOVE the inward. Holiness is FIRST in the heart. The lack of teaching this does produce Christians who are out of balance.
