Is it april 1 already? This is funnier that 2 rednecks trying to watch tv on their etch-a-sketch.
The endtime freak shows come to town about every 2-5 years. I have heard better predictions in the commodities markets. By now, it is very difficult to believe that baxter has ANY credibility at all.

4. 2008 is also the year a piece of space junk falls from the sky and kills 200 in siberia. Or is the year that the deer population in Kazakhstan repent and are baptized? Or maybe it is the year that gay marriage is frowned upon in San Francisco? Or maybe it is the year that gambling is no longer legal in Nevada?

I want to prophecy. Tomorrow, 4 Jan 2008, in Whitehorse, YT, Canada it will be below freezing. I also want to prophecy that some other prophet will be around in the next 5 years that is as much or more full of waste than baxter.

It is NOT a dumb book! I liked it very much. Not everyone agrees on prophecy. I have yet to talk to a single person that can tell me to my face eye to eye that GOD Himself has given them all the endtime understanding.

A Letter to the President helped me understand more in Revelation than any book I have read.

Does it mean Baxter has it right on everything. Not in my opinion. But I can't prove he is wrong. I can only state I may see it differently. Doesn't make me right or him wrong.

I don't see prophecy as a salvation issue as to WHEN the coming of the Lord is. But please just preach He is coming back and we believe it is soon.

I don't think it was the interpretation that got them stoned it was missing the prophecy.

Prophecy has always pulled down big money for certain ones who want to exploit the Word of God with drama... It pays big. I'm reminded of other hucksters like Tim LaHaye who has made millions.
