Someone played Judas, and hung himself, people played the soldiers that crucified Christ, were any of these people doing something that would be negatively looked upon by God?
IMO when you are presenting a drama (especially when your target audience is the world), you want to present it as realistically as possible, and that is exactly what they did.
This spoke to an audience in a way that I belive a sermon really couldn't

Re: Dumb Reasons People Leave a Church
Im sure there are legitimate reasons for leaving a church, but most that I have encountered in my short time in the church is usually Self Centered. People not getting their way. Its easier to point fingers at the pastor, music director, janitor or some other staff member than to accept responsibility for ones own feelings. Most REASONS for leaving the church are EXCUSES. And, and excuse is nothing more than the skin off a reason stuffed with a LIE!
Blessings!

Re: Dumb Reasons People Leave a Church
because of the music
because the preacher prayed for visiters rather than them
because the church was becoming too spiritual

Pot-stir-er!!!
LOL no, there is a difference between acting and doing it .. silly!
I know in one of my university classes they said that gospel of Mark was possibly written as a play. I think there are alot of great things that come from drama. I have done alot of community theater myself (gasp!!). However personally, I would not play a part that required dressing inappropriatly or kissing someone else. I always research the play before I audition. But that is just my personal opinion....

Someone child constantly crying during a service can be very distracting. I couldn't stand it when parents would just let their baby cry and cry. Take the crying brat to the nursery or somewhere out of the sanctuary until he/she calms down!!! That isn't too much to ask.

Between the parents with the crying baby and the other ones who bring toys, games, and food for their older children to play with, it's a wonder anyone hears a word the preacher has to say! I taught my kids to sit down, shut up, and pay attention to the preacher during the preaching. They knew better than to start acting up 'cause I'd haul their butts straight to the bathroom for a little holy correction!!!
