you are right! BOTH Jim and Tammy were baptized in Jesus name. They both were raised in the AG, but their Pastors taught that baptism was done in the name of Jesus.

Jim has relatives in the UPC. He's had TFT on the show several times. Murrel Ewing made an appearance as well a few years back.

I just listened to part of the program. TFT always has words of wisdom. Jeanie sang a Christmas song. It was very nice.

I'm watching the clip and have a few things screaming in my mind.

1 - This new chick is just as irritating if not more so than Tammy Faye. She never shuts up. Jim acts just as plastic as he did before. About 35% of it was an auction of religious stuff. No, I don't want the $100 seed offering "Lori Bible".

2 - T. F. talked about the 'Holy Spirit' and about walking in what the word says first. There was nothing anything close to deep or profound. So far ecumenicalism reigns supreme. It goes without saying that he is brilliant enough that he could affect many but so far it seems he just tries to fit in with them. Maybe that is his tactic until he gets a following.

3 - Who was that soft acting guy who does his advertising? He must go to Jim's sons church. Now that is a spiritual bunch. Ever seen his sons ministry clips? Got an exUP among those preaching false doctrine.

4 - I'm nauseous.

God help us.

And, by the way, Happy Birthday Jesus! (Prove it for a small seed offering!)

I am sure TF knows exactly what he is doing... So why don't you back off and pray for him that God would give him great influence with those people and support him and God while they do their thing...

My problem isn't with TF but with 'their thing' (I think you are talking about the Bakkers). By the way, forums are for opinions. Backing off is an option here unless rules are broken. My opinion is that I simply don't care for the pablum presentation of the gospel.

TFs minute and a half were the highlight. That should say something.

Their thing is TF and God... He will take the few minutes given, but that few minutes will turn into more and more time to share the gospel...

TFT is one of a kind. He is and always has been a giant in my life! I think he handles himslef with such class and wisdom, he exudes God's favor. TFT always speaks well and doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to doctrine and the Godhead, but he is wise in his presentation. "Wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove..."
