How about the message that Paul said had been given to him, the message of reconciliation. The good news that the Jesus Christ IS the Savior of the world, that though they are still sinners Christ died for them. Now we're talking good news.

I believe baptism is done BECAUSE of salvation - as a result of salvation. Not FOR it... not to obtain it.

I believe one receives "the Holy Ghost" in the sense that most here use that term as a result of salvation. Not to obtain it.


Now the 'works proving belief' idea brings up an interesting question... how many works must be done in order to 'prove' one believes?
