I think your post relies on too many assumptions. I'm getting the impression that perhaps you have a dislike of them that makes it easy for you to believe believe the worst concerning them.
Maybe it's just me, but... I cant picture the leaders of JP saying to themselves: "Well, she's too intelligent or educated. So lets keep her out."
The reason they wouldn't let Rhoni in is because she's not a preacher, nor a preachers wife. It's that simple. She doesnt meet their stated requirements for membership. I dont think we need to go fishing for other (hypothetical) reasons

Oh, no! They would never admit it. Furthermore, the comment I made was directed to Rhoni and not you. However, for whatever it's worth, I have never said and would never say the women on JP are not intelligent. Face it, Rhoni has an above average education and men who not do value equal rights for women feel threatened by above average educated women. From my understanding, JP accepted Rhoni and then later decided she could not be a member without giving explanation. If the rules are the rules, they should have never accepted her because she gave full disclosure as to who she was when she signed up.

and want to give you Rhoni's phone number!

Do you promise to call if I give you my number?

So, here I go again, dipping my donuts in your coffee, but I just have to ask - how did you make the leap from "they dropped her with no explanation" to "she must be too smart for them"?

I dont know Benincasa, and I dont know Mark, so for me it's not about taking sides here. I'm just someone observing the conversation on the board. But I was glad Benincasa asked the question, because I had been wondering the same thing myself. It's clear Mark doesn't want to answer the question, for whatever reason.
I've found that generally, asking a person a straightforward question more than once is not about "control". It's about pinning them down and trying to get some truth out of them when they're clearly trying to be evasive. And I've found that sometimes a person can tell you a lot about themselves, not just by the questions they answer, but by the way they choose to avoid certain questions you ask them.
----------
I'll post the questions myself again, and lets see if Mark answers this time.

Thanks for the maturity.

Sorry, if you think any of the above was uncalled for. Jesus and John the baptist used stronger language for self serving gossipers. Defending Mark is like defending a child who pinches the other children and draws blood.
In Jesus name

Re: JUST PREACHERS MAJOR Crackdown! turning WPF???
Maybe I'm too cynical but I believe this is really an attempt to get rid of one poster. That's right. One. It has been said that those who control information rule the world. I think the admin of jp are trying to create a controlled environment in which they exercise spiritual authority over membership. This will involve calls to the pastors and district officials of those who find themselves on the wrong side of certain issues.

Who is the poster, and why would they try to get rid of him or her?

Do you have facts to back up your accusation?

Thank you. You are correct.
Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact that I have NO problem with intelligent women. I was raised by one, and married another.
One of the people I love most in all the world and trust most in all the world is my pastor's wife. She has a number of degrees and has taught at the secular college level. She is brilliant as well as deeply spiritual. I don't have words to adequately express my deep admiration and love for her.
