To be Apostolic means that we don't put unnecessary burdens on people, which are traditions and methods created by a previous heirarchy. (See Acts 15)
To be Apostolic means to be under the anointing in such a way that people of great influence can tell that, although we're not the most educated folks in the bunch, we have been with Jesus.
To be Apostolic means that we have such Holy Ghost power and anointing that when we pray for people, they are healed, and when we encounter a demon-possessed person, the demons must flee.
To be Apostolic means that we have such power and anointing that entire congregations, along with their pastors (a great number of the priests) are converted.
To be Apostolic means that we reach our entire world with the gospel. The Apostles reached the entire continent of Asia within a space of 3 1/2 years, without the aid of television, automobiles, internet, etc.
To be Apostolic means that even in our diversity we unite, and work to a common goal. No one in the book of Acts that I can find ever tried to keep another preacher out of the city in which they were pastoring! They were happy for the help!
The reason I challenged your statement, Boomm, is that too many people think that being "Apostolic" means just repenting, being baptized in Jesus' name, and receiving the Holy Ghost, and then just sitting on a pew waiting for Jesus to come.
And, in my opinion, it's much, much more than that.

Great post!!! Much wisdom and balance here. I've assigned myself the priviledge of reading it through 7 times so it really gets through to my heart and not just my brain. Thanks MP!

Thank you, Raven. I must warn you, when you start preaching like this, expect some resistance!
In Luke 4, the Bible says that Jesus entered the temple and began to preach under the anointing, challenging the folks to go out and bind up the broken hearted, bring joy for mourning, etc.
And there was a man who had "an unclean spirit of a devil", who stood up and cried out one simple phrase..........LEAVE US ALONE!
The Bible didn't say that the unclean spirit cried out, "Let's go kill someone, or rape someone, or engage in perversion" .......... the unclean spirit that Satan would love to plant in ALL churches is simply a spirit that says "LEAVE US ALONE" when challenged to go out and spread the gospel!
Who knows how many weeks that same man sat in the same church, and the unclean spirit was never challenged?
Satan doesn't care how many people go to church on Sunday! He doesn't care if you go for years and sit on the pew - it's when we're challenged by anointed preaching that Satan rises up in our OWN CONGREGATIONS and that spirit of "leave us alone" tries to take over.

I usually skip the bigger postings, but this was rich.
Little power in church means most have little results. If you had 17 17 years ago and have 17 still this week in attendance, something is wrong. Living organisms grow and multiply.
This is that, but where is that and what is this?
Excelllent post MP.
