MOst of the ultra cons I used to know would be opposed to larger "govermnent" under any circumstance.

In fact, contrary to his supposition, most of the conservatives that I know voted against it. They often preach men who are not in the organization and want no organizational involvement in their local church decisions.

Among those that I know the VAST majority were against it.
That would mesh with what I know about conservatives.

I'm by no means "ultra," but I am opposed to larger government.

Well, I'm not sure what people would consider ultra or con but most cons would be against larger goverment in my experience.

We tend to be sensible about this issue, as well as many others.

LOL! Well, we all believe ourselves to be sensible. But I too agree that less government is better in many cases.

This just in ...

The ALABAMA DS, AND WORLD REKNOWN GREASY GRACER, DEBATED ON THE FLOOR IN FAVOR OF RES. 3, in the business meeting ...

It's been swell ... love discussing politics w/ intelligent brethren and sisters.

Got a couple of eating engagements .... w/ mama, the kids ... and some old friends.

Be well.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends.
