Add Winifred Westfield to the list of associates who were never married, or who were estranged from their spouses and never had children.

Westfield was a woman evangelist who live in San Francisco at the time she assisted More start the Pentecostal Mission in Oakland. She was also one of the 4 organizers of the Arollo Seco WorldWide Camp meeting in 1913.

She had at least one article in Meat in Due Seasons, a newspaper edited by Frank Ewart. She was a song writer. By all accounts, she was a commanding communicator.

She evangelized and pastored a mission in Phoenix from 1920 until her death in 1956. The church she worked closely with was pastored by a former missionary to South China, HL Faulkner. He pastored in Phoenix from 1915 until...I'm not sure

There were many Pentecostal churches in Oakland in the 1915-1925 period. Few of them lasted more than a year or two. I cannot visualize how I will express that turnover on a graph or a page.

Fred Scott, the guy who helped found the Harry Morse Mission is not the father of the UPC missionary. Which means I am not sure who he was or what became of him.

I did find a newspaper clipping of when GT Haywood had a revival for the PAW in Oakland. It was 1/29/1921. It was conducted at the Machinist's Auditorium.

I did not know Haywood made it to Oakland. Since he and Morse knew each other from the Arroyo Seco camp meeting, I wonder if they fellowshipped together when Haywood was in town.

Time to get my hands on a Haywood biography and see if he writes about it.

The names of the fly by night Pentecostal pastors are: Kleiner, Hartwick, Llonte, and Manis. Perhaps, they were evangelists. Who knows !!

I have a list of around 50 former students of Harry Morse.

Today, I reviewed the names I know nothing about. Some of them have ancestors that I have emails for. Emails were sent in hope of new material coming my way.

Winifred Westfield might be mentioned in a book about early Pentecostals that should come in the mail soon.

A few more calls today and I will wait for replies...

Who on earth is Arthur Ross ????

He was a student in 1920. He died in 1973 in Albuquerque. Ben Urshan preached his funeral.

Hi Scott...will you forgive me for bringing this up? I am not saying that you are wrong in any way with this timeline but your mention of a 1945 Fred Scott pastorate brought back to my aging brain a conversation I had with the missionary Fred K. Scott many years ago. The subject was William Booth-Clibborn, the nephew of General Booth of Salvation Army fame and the author of the famous hymn "Down from His Glory." Booth-Clibborn was a friend of my great-grandfather's. If I am remembering the conversation correctly, the latter Fred K. Scott mentioned that he had pastored in Portland in his early ministry which began in the 1940s where he was acquainted with Booth-Clibborn.

I guess I'm asking, are you sure you have the right Fred Scott in Portland in 1945 because Fred K. Scott, the missionary's ministry goes back that far.
