Uh..this was LONG AFTER Abraham left paganism and started following the LORD. Why didn't God correct Abraham that jewelry is evil...for that matter why not keep them from doing ANYTHING pagans did, Pagans eat, they take dumps, they put on clothes, they lived in tents lol,,,good grief folks. IMHO any discussion about rings is totally ridiculous and a waste of time. It certainly doesn't merit any serious bibilical rebuttal since the Bible is very clear that God has no problem with jewelry at all. So anything other than God's view is just that, man's view, and we can argue with one another about personal preferences 'til the cows come home, but it won't change what is revealed in Scripture concerning God's view on the subject.

No I did not. I said that she would not wear them, I had nothing to do with it. My mother, who is not in the church, bought her one of those fancy sweater that they were wearing a few years ago. My wife would not wear it, she said
"I many as well wear jewelry". It was her decision.
