Now you know why the Holiness preacher said what he did.
He was standing on the platform and a well endowed young lady wearing a low cut blouse came to the front and stood there in front of him. His words of rebuke were, "Sister, we holiness preachers look down on low cut blouses like that."

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

When dealing with standards we need to stay in the Bible as much as possible.
Why wait a hundred years! The women I know buy their clothes in the WOMEN's section of the department stores.

The cultural norms about what qualifies as women garments have obviously changed since the merge of '45.

As for the purists who believe such things to be immutable I don't see many of the men running around in dresses, er robes.

Yeah...according to this bathroom sign women should have to shave their head, wear a pants suit with long jacket, and hop around on one fat leg!

Now...that's bathroom sign, "her"-maneutcs.

That's not broad enough across the butt to be a Hillary Clinton profile.

I love this sign! Either women or men in wheelchairs can enter!

The person in the wheel chair could be a bald woman in pants. There is obviously no bun on the back of the head (nor a nose on the front)

Re: Revisiting the "PANTS" Issue

OK. We've resolved that we can't base the church's standards on bathroom signs.

But the Bible does teach modesty and gender roles. I believe we can conclude from this that it's more fitting for Christian women to wear dresses and skirts as opposed to women's pants. But I'm not sure if I would take women's pants as far as calling them an abomination.
