I like to think of something humorous to say that almost sounds like what the preacher told us to say. I just like to see people smile and laugh genuinely. Or, I'll look at my neighbor and say something off the wall like, "I'm hungry!" lol You get the funniest looks when you don't fit the mold of what they expect you to do. lol
Yes, I was the church prankster on occasion. You ever play a prank in church? LOL

Re: Are Beards The Mark Of The Beast?
Gosh, we had a choir leader who was trying to teach us how to sing a song with the word "fire" in it. She was getting all upset with me because I kept actually singing the word "fire". She singled me out and said, "Bro. Chris, I want you to sing it FIAH! Not fi-err. No Rs." I said, "Sis, that isn't proper English." She said, "It's FIAH brother, Chris, FIAH." I said, "But it's 'FIRE'. C'mon, they don't sing, 'I can't fight this feeling any-MAH. I've forgotten what I started fightin' FAH...." Well, after the laughter eventually ceased she just said quietly, and very deliberately, "Bro. Chris, just don't sing the word 'fire'. Okay?" So, I had my fun and sang it the way she asked and she about lost her mind! LOL
I so miss all the fun we had at choir practice.

You and MtD should join up and start the perfect church. It would be amazing, the best really. Beards and veils everywhere. Come as you are, whether in your fancy duds or your pjs. You can put a big picture of fake Jesus sporting a beard behind the pulpit so you can point to it whenever you talk about living the bearded life for Jesus.

Oh yeah, and right above the baptistry I'd hang this pic...
My first sermon would be about how all have sinned and broken God's law and are worthy of death by stoning. I'd title it after the immortal words of Bob Dylan, "Everybody must get stoned."
(Just kidding guys, relax.) lol

All joking aside, I've thought about opening my home up for house churching. I've prayed about it. I just don't feel the release in the Spirit. Until I sense God give me the liberty, I'm not going to launch out into that adventure.
Would you believe that my Redtail boa is a morph? He has this rainbow shimmer about his scales when in the sunlight. Maybe we can do some snake handlin'. lol

May want to take care of that PTSD and smoke issue first.

As a former worship leader, singer and choir/chorale member ... sometimes there are words and letter pronunciation which each individual singer must pronunciate a certain way (which may sound funny) because when multiplied by the number in the choir it will sound normal.
It's especially important when pronouncing "s" "h" and some others.
I can see the point of the choir director. Depending on the number in the choir, each person singing "Fi-ah" would sound better as a whole than "Fi-err".

No, the PTSD might keep it interesting. If they don't line up, I'll just go off and start throwing chairs and stuff. Drop 'em all for pushups if they interrupt me. And if a car backfires, I'll grade them on how fast they hit the deck with me.
Oh, and please don't worry about any smoking habits. Just because somebody is familiar with something, honest about some history with it, and has an opinion on it, it doesn't mean they engage in it as a practice in their daily life. I just think a free people people should be free to look into alternative natural medications and remedies without fear of something like, let's say, PRISON. lol
(If I remember correctly, didn't President Trump sign an executive order permitting terminally ill people to try experimental treatments that haven't been approved by the FDA? I essentially agree with his logic.)
I'm all for religious freedom too. I'll support a person's right to start any kind of church they like, but I'm not going to attend. lol

If I started a church, there'd be a chance that after a while, I might decide not to attend. lol
