Whats consistant about this post to a pastor?
1Ti 5:17 ¶ Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

IMHO any discussion about rings is totally ridiculous and a waste of time. It certainly doesn't merit any serious bibilical rebuttal since the Bible is very clear that God has no problem with jewelry at all. So anything other than God's view is just that, man's view, and we can argue with one another about personal preferences 'til the cows come" but it won't change what is revealed in Scripture concerning God's view on the subject.

Maybe we can argue about whether or not its a sin to use Viagra instead

Brother Daniel please consider what you have typed.Do you really feel this way and why? Why would you call apostolic brothers and sisters neo-Pharasees? When I hear this stuff it reminds me of when I was charismatic
and someone would try and show doctrine to someone else. They would say that person was a Pharasee or if someone had a personal conviction and would share it suddenly that person was a Pharasee.I am glad I came to the truth of Jesus Name Baptism from that way round because it gives me a better picture of how Jesus is so merciful and how we can grow in the grace and knowledge of him.It may be my brother that you will be surprised on judgement day.A person trying to please God is a good thing. Its not an us and them to be a christian. Its an all of us are in this thing together life.
Its a let me help you make it and you help me make it life.Weigh your words.
The bible says that out of your belly flows rivers of living water.Speak life.

This kind of talk about another man's wife really surprises me. A certain whiner got me banned because he began talking about my wife, which led me to ask him about his. He didn't like it too much.
I'm sure you guys would take offense if someone said these things about your wives (if both of you are married).
I wonder why this wasn't addressed by the admin/mods?

Yet, Abraham is presented as a great example even in the NT. Truth is God looks at a whole host of things different than men do, God knows we are human and I believe He is working on our hearts. Men keep trying to please God by working on the exterior more than the interior. Jesus has paid for the sin issue, now he is trying to bring about deep heart change, so that out of our being flows rivers of living water.

David was an awesome man who was king but in the NT he does not even qualify for a bishop. He has more than one wife.
