No, a meeting doesn't have to be filled with members in order to be an official session. As exampled by my Ted Cruz note. I hope you don't think I was helping you (except for helping you say the above idiocy)

It doesn't matter what the title of the meeting was. Nobody attended. If nobody attended, you didn't address anybody. I don't have to prove it was or was not official, I just had to show clear footage that nobody was addressed.

Which I did. Any why I jokingly suggested that the title of this thread be changed.

Hopefully in your warped mind you don't believe that addressing someone's empty chair counts as addressing that person. Hopefully. LOL

To summarize for the simpletons: For someone to address the members the members have to be there.

smh

<grin> and you prove my point. He was making an address in the Senate, but he was not addressing the members of the senate, therefore he was not addressing the senate because the senators were not actually there.

Even though yes they were in official session.

Conclusion: You can make an address while in official session and not actually address the members of the organization that you are addressing.

Those that wasn't in attendance followed online.. and its still on the UN website it will be able to be viewed!!!!!
THE MUSLIM keeps criticizing the crowd.. ( i hate critics)
but I posted this from the UN that even though they weren't there they could view it online.. so the crowd so far the viewed it was much bigger then the UN General Assembly could hold!!!!

My source was:

Go figure.

I must correct this terrible error:

General assembly meetings look like this:

[General Debate]

Or this

[General Debate]

Or this

[General Debate]

Or this

[General Debate]

Thank you so much for pointing out my error. You are correct, some of the photos I posted earlier had many more empty seats than the general assembly has when they are actually in session.
These are of the General Assembly room...during the General Debate.

The UN is still in its 69th Session of the General Assembly.

I'm not going to argue with you. The Senate was in session. He was addressing the Senate regardless of if the Senators were there or not.

Not all of the seats were empty. Also, as has been pointed out, were you there in person or did you view on the live webcast?

The majority of delegates and heads of state do not come to the UN for every meeting of the General Assembly. It's why the UN has a live broadcast.

It is my error in grabbing images that were of different UN meetings in different locations.

<grin> yes, but the next time they gather will be September. Which is the best time to "address the UN" since the UN member states will be present to be addressed.

Next you can explain the concept of "addressing the non-present"

The webcast for the entire day is on the link I posted and the empty seat pictures posted were from that day. Are you one of those people who watch the same movie over and over expecting a different plot or ending?
