Amanah, good to see you posting as well. I hope you are doing well!
it's awesome to see you PO & all the familiar faces.

I need the banter/opinions and soul searching with all that is going on with our country right now.

Hey Amanah! So happy to see you posting again! Have missed you! Hope you are doing well, and yes, all the mess going on around us is pitiful, but like PO said, JESUS is greater, and thank God we have hope in Him.

Hi Kept! Happy to see you also

I feel a bit like the Israelites, knowing they were going into captivity for the sins of the nation, but also knowing the God would protect them and see them thru.

Yes, thank God we have hope in Jesus... I go back to that constantly whenever I see things that are beyond my understanding and ability to do anything about. I know the Lord is able to keep us through these dark times, wherever they may take us, and maybe that is just the reason things are so dark... I wonder.

All denominations are equal....some are just more equal than others.

Can't be. It's the fastest growing movement on the planet over the past 60 years.

I don't think one can understate the importance of the UPC. Without it we would still be printing the price of items in tiny little stickers which would then fall off half the time before you got the item to the checkout lane!-0=][

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
