Yes ... the Tamels ... are the ones that run the the New Wineskins friendship group program ... it's my understanding they sought formal endorsement from the org ... I don't think they got the support they were looking for from HQ.

I have some close family friends that pastored there Spanish work for awhile - The Chocontas.

I don't see anything on SkyAngel's website to support that Acts29tv is being broadcasted thru them ... but with a name like Acts29tv do you think the vision is just internet webcasting? This puts those UPCI preachers on their network in a precarious situation ... its no secret this is where its going.

Dan, you have a flair for the dramatic. I don't see what the hullabaloo is all about. If Acts29tv actually goes on tv then the UPC folks pull out of Acts29tv or out of the UPC. It's not the end of the world.

I have mixed emotions about all of this. I feel perplexed. It appears more and more like the devil on one side and the deep blue sea on the other.

So what will most likely happen here is the UC's will flood Tampa and succeed in forcing the UPC to remain off of television.

Once that happens, I have a feeling a lot of our premier UPC churches who have been wanting to place ads or even possibly run services on television will pull out and either go independent or form another organization.

It's speculation of course, but I have several names that I think are wanting this badly enough to leave.

Ok, what was the location and event for the video of Phillips at AWCF. Is this the TV they are promoting, my lord if so, they need Si Si Jaun in a hurry. I mean that is baaaaad video. Not much in attendance by the look of the joint, people getting up and walking out during a 'high point' in his talk, bad lighting. Man if these cats are to be leading the way, who is following, seriously. It looked bad. A internet service from POA makes these dudes look like an access cable show. It looked like a rented hall at a Holiday Inn in New Jersey, (sorry new jersey).
I would be a yes vote in Tampa, but if this is what we are going to see, sheeesh!

It obviously was not done with KP's equipment! For about 15 years Promiseland has had 4 Hitachi Z1B broadcast camera's and other top notch gear. That has finally worn out and this month they are replacing that with new equipment.
