Yep. And if you buy either with the intention of bootlegging it, it's the same thing as signing the AS knowing you don't agree with it.

For example, some condos come with TVs built in, but unless one orders cable, it's just a monitor to watch video on since the video resolution passed before the Affirmation Statement.

A minister may then preach "against TV", but not necessarily against owning a "TV"
Well?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Define bootlegging. Don't let your buddies have that new song, cause it's not just about money!

Singing a "new song" at church this Sun.? Look out!

Copyright laws could indite pretty much every church...

The facts remain. You have an obsessive interest in some of these topics. At times your posting goes far beyond disagreement and criticism, and becomes purely vitriolic - even to the point of accusing your own father (in a public venue) of lying. It is beyond the pale to come on a public forum and blast those you disagree with - using the F - word. I am sorry you struggle with such serious issues concerning your childhood, but really, these things are better handled in private or in group counseling.

I apologize if I added to your pain in the last post, it certainly was not my intent. But, I think we can all better understand where you are coming from.

For you to draw a blank where the known "F-word" would fit, and then say that used THE f-word is a complete, and possibly, intentional misrepresentation of what I said. You should make it PURELY clear what I said!! There's an old saying....."The worst lies are those that most closely resemble the truth."

Secondly, your attempt to manipulate this into some moronic "struggle" I have with my "childhood" is purely a diversion to distract us from the real topic, and that is, people that sign an oath while having no intention of honoring that oath.

THAT is the issue and you ARE NOT ALLOWED to turn into something that's wrong with me, dropping your 4-year-old-type taunts that I must need counseling. Disgusting.

You didn't "add to my pain." You're not that important, sorry.

Right. The original intent I believe was just that.

Now that local broadcast channels cannot be received without special additional equipment (a digital converter box) the language could read "We disapprove of converter boxes or cable or dish...." LOL!

BUT, all this means nothing because pretty much all the content is available online.

Fact is, the whole of "TV" technology is being replaced along with any discussion of the same. It simply becomes meaningless because of merging technologies.

Re: Television Issue!

When the Hardy Boys used to get close to uncovering a mystery, almost every time the bad guys would come after them. Frank and Joe would just dig around not really knowing if they were on the right track. And then, BAM, they would get a threat, or someone would try to hurt them, and at that point, they would know to keep investigating what they were looking into.

When one of the owners here feels the need to misrepresent, COMPLETELY, that "F-Word" garbage, and as well, issue his public opinion that I'm suffering damage from a dysfunctional childhood, and say that I need counseling to help with my "pain", then it just let's me know, "HEY, I really struck a nerve!!"

Thanks Hoovie for revealing just how deeply you're annoyed by this. It let's me know just how aware you are of how guilty those are that say and swear one thing, and do another. It must REALLY bother you for you to lash out at me with your childish little character assassination and hints of my psychological problems.

Your taunts are like those of a 3rd-grader. But keep at it and you'll get as good as a 5th-grader.

Re: Television Issue!

NOW

Two things:

1. I did not alter your original post (though it needs to be) It still contains the original F - word euphemism. Only when I quoted you did I take the word out.

2. Yeah, this stuff is a really big deal for me. LOL! It has been years that I have given it more than passing thought. It's old, tired, and outdated. The only nerve that has been struck here today is yours. - I'm sorry, though I realize you won't receive that.

I don't know that this is true any more. A huge chunk of programming of "shows" are informational and educational. maybe 50%?
