There is the general will of God which is revealed through Scripture, but ......

- the fact that we are admonished to be careful to "walk in the Spirit" making our relationship and walk with Him of a very personal nature
..... is going to mean that some of the things God speaks to me about and demands of me may be different than for someone else.
I know the voice of God when I hear it, and I know that He has spoken to me about some things that are not allowable for me personally. I might not ever put that conviction on someone else, but it is binding for me.

Thank you, Aunt Felicity (in Coon's recent absence I will adopt you for a season) for saying well what I said in my usual off the cuff and uncouth way.
I do believe that the Holy Ghost has led me to forsake some things that are in no way a sin because even though they are not a sin they are obstacles to my relationship to Him! I am flesh and as such have been given the Holy Ghost not only for the purposes outlined by StaySharp but also to lead me and to guide me in the ways of righteousness for His name's sake; to empower me to be an overcomer in this life and ultimately to be resurrected or raptured at the time of His appearing!
Thanks again!
