That logic, I agree, is garbage but, there are Apostolics who live in towns who adamantly believe that if you don't attend their Apostolic church, you are worldly, backslidden and close to being lost.
I lived in a town in NC for a couple years and I heard this logic taught by the Pastor's wife and by other members in this congregation. I have experienced this first hand.
I kind of believed them too. I thought it was crazy, but I didn't join any other church in that town for as long as I was there!

I never said she did say this, only wondered what if.
However, I bet if you were to find her congregation and talk with their leadership, they'd let you know why their ship is the only ship in town (possibly county) not sinking.

After being released from jail last Tuesday and reporting to work this week, Kim Davis asked her deputies not only to omit her name, but also to replace her title on the license forms with a statement saying that the licenses are being issued as required by a federal court order.
Where state officials could not or would not come up with a solution, Kim Davis has defused the tension by proposing a new way forward.
This carries an important lesson. When requests for legislative accommodation seem to fall on deaf ears, creative efforts to find a specific solution on a personal level may provide a way out.
