Foreign Policy: Newt thinks that Israel has every right to maintain a blockade of Gaza in defense against Hamas. He believes there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza but merely a political effort to undermine the safety of Israel.

Another subject of interest to Gingrich is space exploration, originating in a fascination with the United States/Soviet Union space race during his teenage years. Gingrich has stated that he would like to see the U.S. aggressively pursue new achievements in space, such as sustaining civilizations beyond Earth, and he advocates relying more on the private sector and less on NASA to drive progress. As of 2010, Gingrich serves on the National Space Society Board of Governors.

Gingrich's term saw the monthly unemployment rate fall from 5.6% in 1995 to 4.2% in 1999, the creation of as many as 8.4Â..million new jobs and the lowest rate of growth in government spending (2.9%) in several decades. The 1996 budget deal represented the largest drop in discretionary spending since 1969.

Another interesting point is that Newt, on the immigration issue, called us "heartless" if we took the view toward wanting to kick out 20 million immigrants. Funny, that is was not all right for Perry to have the same view.

And if Gingrich was so great in what he was doing, why after being the first GOP Speaker of the House, after 40 years, is he not still holding some office in the Government?

And why, after Gingrich threw his hat in the ring, did American Solutions start to fold? http://www.iwatchnews.org/2011/08/26...imploded-june/

I want someone who is and has been consistent and that is not Newt. Don't get me wrong, if he, somehow, gets the nomination, I will vote my party line. But, to say that he has been conservative the whole way down the line and supported conservative causes the whole way down the line, I'm not buying it.

And, if we are so impressed by his intellectual verbiage against a debate with Obama and that is our greatest concern, that is troubling to me. He is an intelligent man, but it isn't enough for me. I want someone with a record.

Perry has been a consistent conservative even when in the Democratic Party. Texas was largely a Democratic state, hardly having any Republican counties. When the party began to change, he made his move to the Republican Party. He has been consistent.

You are right about newt and AGW. that is an issue for me. I am very hard on the AGW issue.

However, I have NEVER been opposed to immagration reform that leaves those illegals here, still here.

In fact, I have stated many times, I would leave then with the status they have now. My view has always been that before we do anything, we secure the boarder first. THEN made decisions on the illegals. I dont however want to give them citizenship. some other legal status might be acceptable. their kids can be citizens etc.

And Newt has done the personal implosion thing. this is why i cannot just commit.

Also, in this election I am not looking for orthodoxy. I am looking for a winner.

Your immigration view is exactly that of Rick Perry (Fed. Gov't. standing in the way). Check!

All of the words in bold (especially the underlined) - That's the Ferd that I know!!! Check!

Re: Why I'm Against Perry

I think Perry/Gingrich would win the 2012 election, hands down. Possibility?

The next debate is Saturday, Nov 19th.

I almost agree however I don't know if there is a humanitarian crisis or not however that is what the UN is for. They can go in, see if there is one, and deliver goods.
