Yes maam they do. When I was a prosecutor I was sworn in; part of that pledge was to defend the constitution. If there ever came a conflict between my civic duty and my Christian faith I believe I would have to step down from my position. Hopefully a Christian justice would do the same.

I understand, and I don't want our system changed in that regard. I just wonder how some of them personally feel about some of the decisions they uphold.

Yes, I would hope so. I wanted them to know that I approved of them as individuals and loved them dearly. They got the message.
Do I approve of everything going on in their lives? Probably not. I"m sure I could say the same about you but if I had attended your wedding, I would have brought you a gift.

How could you as a "man of God' (as you said earlier in this thread REQUEST and ATTEND a HOMOSEXUAL WEDDING?
Sorry, I don't see Moses, Jerimiah, Isaiah, James, Peter, Paul, or ANY man of God in the Bible doing such a thing.
What is the REAL and FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE between NOT marrying them, but asking to be invited to their wedding and giving them gifts?

That was my point, I guess none of our justices have come to that point, of stepping down.

I think you did a totally admirable job, you made it clear you could not support their lifestyle but that did not mean you did not care for them.
