I looked it up on the chart, but was still afraid to mix them. LOL!!! I mixed a couple of meds last year and ended up with my head hanging in the toilet puking my guts out.

I believe it was Mucinex DM, and hydrocodone. (sp?) The doctor gave me my prescription, and then told me to take Mucinex and Mucinex DM at night, so I assumed (wrongly) that they were all safe to take together! MY mistake.

If you puked, it was probably the hydrocodone (Vicodin). Mucinex and Vicodin aren't contraindicated. It's better to be safe than sorry though.

Oh, well, I just quit taking the hydrocodone altogether! It made me sick VERY quickly, too. Within 30 minutes of taking the medicine. I was also taking Levaquin?????

Mucinex works good for me, I'm sure I've warded off several sinus infections by taking it at the first hint of sinus pain.

Being the penny pincher that I am, I wanted to make sure you know that Dollar General has the Mucinex available in generic form for $4.50. Even the generic version at Walmart is about $7-8 the last time I looked. There's no difference in the dosage amount or ingredients. The name brand here is about $12!

Re: Any Hot Topics for a Cold Night?

I've almost finished up the surveys in my email, cleaned today's snail mail off my desk and put away what was important.

I've finished filling out taxes at HRblock.com and efiled.

I filled out daughter's taxes-- she has to pay in... so that one will have to wait to be filed.

I've been cleaning out magazines to take to the library tomorrow and stacked all the library books I'm finished with in a bag to return.

I've finished folding all the laundry, and have it stacked in baskets for the girls to put away in the morning.

The kitchen is spotless.

Living room is neat, except for those baskets of folded laundry.

Now I have to figure out what to do for the next 5 hours to keep myself occupied since I have to stay awake till 3am.

Re: Any Hot Topics for a Cold Night?

I've downloaded a ton of pictures on to my digital picture frame.

Bake cookies for my son and DIL that came over to pick up something. He went out in my garage to get something and loaded up my bags of garbage in his truck to take to the dumpster for me - - wasn't that sweet?

Been wrapping small boxes of candy in "Tiffany" colored wrapping paper and I'll tie white ribbons on them for a party I'm having next week.

Just been doing all sorts of things tonight!

Re: Any Hot Topics for a Cold Night?

We're going to be making cookies for our valentines day fundraiser for the ladies group at church. Last year we sold boxes of chocolate chip and white choc. macadamia nut cookies... and we also sold chocolate dipped strawberries. Sold completely out of everything and had people asking for more. I'm not sure how many we're going to make this time around. We're supposed to have a meeting Sunday after church to discuss that.
