So far, so good. It has been a bit carthardic, no doubt, to talk about all of this. Thanks for listening. And for your words of encouragement.

i remember back in the 70s as a child there was a group that use to come and fellowship with our church and they taught a doctrine called "PURGING".
the person seeking the holyghost had to froth and foam to prove that their soul had been purged of sin and ready for the infilling.
my father put a stop to it real fast lol

It is late (or early) here and I have to get up and take my youngest daughter to the doctor in Little Rock in the morning for a post-op check up. If you folks only knew. I should write a book, this forum could not hold the telling of our life over the past 10 years. But one thing I have learned first hand...God truly is faithful. Oh yeah, and that He is God and I am not.!!!
Help me Jesus, I feel a preach comin' on!!
Night all, it's been quite a day. Thanks for your kind comments and prayers for our family. I will check in late tomorrow night to see if there are any other questions. Then I think I will start a new thread. I may get to likin' this. LOl

She refused to put her hand to it. She always said that someday, when he was ready he would tell the story. Well, he has and she has recently began to call old friends from the evangelistic field to defend herself. She has been so focused on survival for her and the kids that she has not had much time to think about the outside world. And remember, she had a baby during all this time and tried for a small amount of time before he came out as gay to reconcile for the kids sake. As far as this particular forum, she knows that people are curious and people talk. When you are in the limelight like he was there is bound to be questions and a backlash. She doesn't begrudge your curiosity. And I have her permission to even be on here. She doesn't own a computer, he took that of course. She does appreciate all of your sincere concern for all of us and thanks you for your prayers. She is a powerful, praying, strong in her faith young lady. I could not be more pleased with how she has handled this situation.

Wow!!! What a strong woman she is!! I truly admire her. She should write a book to help other women!!!

I would have liked for them to have tried to show a biblical basis for that teaching. I am still amazed at some of the (insert four letter word that starts with "c" and ends with "p" here) that goes on in old time Pentecost.
