Azzan may be up for some kind of award or something. I may be wrong but this has to be the longest welcome mat thread ever.

It's just so funny to me that just because Mark wanted to liven things up on AMF he starts a thread about us welcoming a gay and it was old news since ChosenbyOne was welcomed over three years ago. Then Char comes trying to blast AFF as some awful, terrible and sinful place, yet he associates with us by posting here. I'm sure he'd say he's not affected or acceptant of us heathens lifestyle just because he posts here.
So has the thought crossed his mind that having a gay post here doesn't mean we agree/accept his lifestyle? Nope. Double standard.
A point that I made to a minister was what's the deal since there are gays participating in ministry in UPC. They agreed. But, because they aren't "open" about it, all is well.
It's such a double standard and just stupid. None of this makes any sense to me.

They don't have a leg to stand on complaining about AFF allowing a gay to post because there are some (a few and certainly not the large percentage) of UPC churches that have gays involved in ministry. I've had discussion with several in the background that realize this too, so how can they get so up in arms about this thread.
Then, another point I made was how many have been involved in adultery that are still ministers? A gay can have their sins forgiven just like someone involved in adultery. I think the Bible speaks against adultery just as it speaks agains homosexuality.
Such a double standard.
