Dear Sis. Falla,
I agree with this to some extent and I know it was said in with good intentions but I want to point out that a lack of feeling accepted is by no means an indicator that someone is not beloved of the Lord. Sometimes, life is hard.

H1, I wrote my post to whomever wanted to read/listen. And, believe me, if I can apply it to MY life, I have no doubt that ANYONE can! I was the most "unfixable" person I know! You know where I was a year ago!! You know where I was six months ago! I was destroying my life. I was convinced that God was able to help people, but that I was broken beyond repair for even Him. I also thought that the day would never come where I could fully trust Jesus. I didn't think it was possible - really.
I spoke the words I was supposed to speak, saying that I believed Jesus could help me; however, in my heart, I just couldn't see how. Like I said, it was head-knowledge, not heart-knowledge. Then one day I realized that I was on the other side! I felt like I had finally crossed over a raging river - I'm no longer IN the river, being swept away, hitting my head, being knocked around, bleeding, wounded... I'm OUT! And it's all BEHIND me... I'm not facing it anymore, I'm facing JESUS! It's so awesome! HE'S so awesome!
Hang in there, H1. As I said, if it can happen for ME, it can happen for ANYONE! I am finally a believer in that.

Perhaps it is difficult to trust in that we cannot see. That is why we
must have the Word of God sown deep within our hearts. Faith cometh
by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!
Several years ago I went through an experience that helped me come to
a place that, like Subdued, I did not know who to trust, even those the
closest to me. God was taking me to places I had never been in Him. Those
old songs of the church came alive as the words would come to mind. "Tis
so sweet to trust in Jesus; just to take Him at His Word; just to rest upon
His promise; just to know thus saith the Lord!! Jesus, Jesus, how I trust You,
How I've proved You ore and ore; Jesus, JESUS, PRECIOUS JESUS, Oh, for
grace to trust You more". And I thank God for showing me that it is ALWAYS
BEST to love and trust Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. The
rest is secondary!!

This is what I'm finally learning! (Michlow, you're not the only stubborn person here. LOL)
Honestly, it took being completely alone - having no one I could trust to pull me out of the place I found myself in - to fully put my trust in Jesus. Had I not ended up in the darkest circumstances of my life, I would have never fully trusted Him. I mean, FULLY trust Him. I had always sort of trusted Jesus, knowing that He's God & knows best, etc. But NOW - WOW!... HE'S IT! KWIM?

Dear Sis. ILG,
I am sorry if my post appeared to imply that I thought that feelings alone was an
indication whether someone was accepted in the Beloved of the Lord or not.
I also know that life is hard but in spite of hard times, often in my 67 yrs, those times
have just driven me to my knees more often.
But, dear Sister, I have finally found that I can take those hard times and
trust Him to work it out, no matter what it is!
I can tell you that not everyone makes me "feel" accepted, sometimes
the very closest to you. But if He is pleased with me, it doesn't seem to
matter quite as much. All I have to do is trust those things into His Hands.
His Loving, tender Hands!
It has been said that if a child is accepted by his/her parents, they can
survive, although no one else may except them. On the other hand, it might
seem that they are well accepted by everyone but if they believe their parents
have rejected them, it is difficult for them to survive. I know my earthly
parents excepted me as their child, and my Heavenly Father accepts me,
so it just makes me feel that I am so loved. Ten siblings love and support
me and have confidence in me. Six adult children and nineteen grandchildren
love and support me. I realize everyone doesn't have that much support.
I only wish they did. So, if I sound like I am somewhat bragging about
feeling beloved, it is not intended in a proud, boastful way. I have earned
what I have received. Being the oldest daughter of eleven children, I helped
raise my younger brothers and sisters before I started raising our own, two
and a half years after my baby sister was born. Along side my mother and
father, I helped "mother and nurture" the work of God they begun later the
same year my little sister was born. Next year it will be 50 yrs. since it began.
My husband and I were married eight months after Dad started the work. We
worked along side my parents, helping with the church, helping with my little
siblings, raising our own. I never considered any of it a burden, but a blessing.
Sister ILG, I have not always understood how it felt to be so beloved of my
heavenly Father, but some experiences have brought me to that place. The
old song, "Nothing Between, my soul and the Saviour" comes to mind. It came
to me some time ago that "anything or anyone that stands between us and
our God, has the potential to become a stumblingblock to us". There can be
no one or no thing that comes before Him. Father, mother, sister or brother.
Children, husband or wife, there can be no one that stands between me and
God. When that relationship is intact, we will be able to deal with all other
relationships.

You know I think people are just very deceived into believing they can live a life they want to instead of repenting and staying repented. Like the pastor at the local UPC assembly hear says we all sin a little every day. Well if we all sin a little every day then they must be sinning by habit and never have repented.Repent means to turn from and stop.What about all this scripture I never heard UPC preachers preach ? Guess they don't obey it.Well they can't obey it if they sin a little every day.You know the people are going to believe and live like the preacher preaches.They don't read the bible for themselves and lissen to the Holy Ghost.
