YOur political affiliation and views are a PERSONAL Matter.keep it that way. If you choose not to, then prepare for the worst. obviiously you haven't. I've always been a Democrat and I wouldn't have disclosed it if i didn't know what came with the territory. suck it up like a man and move on.
If you don't mind me asking, why did you choose to be a Democrat?

Stmark is busy so i am filling in...

He chose to be a Democrat because he is a liberal unmarried musician who is looking for free healthcare.

Americans do not realize how in one day everything can drastically change. Those that vote however you vote should really pray.
Having relatives who spent years in Muslim countries, I know you are right. There are some bull-headed, blind people on this forum who have no foreign experience and think they are authorites on foreign relations. I wish they were open-minded enough to hear you.

Re: Why shouldn't I vote for Obama??

Aquila you shouldnt let your life and walk with God be dictated by how someone feels about your political view... Do not look to man but look to God thats where so many go wrong in the first place. Our attacks are not at you as a Christian because to think that shows how little you really know the people with whom you were speaking.. none of us who were present at that time are like that.. honestly not many on here at all are like that... some oddballs who may come every so oft... but nope... we were attacking a view with which had no merrit and an attack you made on a fellow Christian and friend... if someone you care about has people attacking them verbally are you going to defend them? Yes you are... Does that make them less of a Christian or you? Nope not at all... This is no reason to turn your back on God... we are human... we are not God...

We never doubted your christianity or your walk with God.. however we do request that same respect in return.

Most people don't remember much about their life during those ages.
You have attacked my posts four times and obviously did not read all of my comments. If you don't want to read my comments in their entirety and respond appropriately, there is no conversation. You cannot take one line and jump to conclusions. i.e. you once again throw up the issue, "it was not a Muslim school but a public school in a Muslim country." You did not read my comments entirely or you would know ALL public schools in Muslim countries indoctrinate the students with the teachings of Islam. Why don't you go to a Muslim country, visit their schools and you will find out the truth. I know this from experience and weary of people who have never lived in such countries trying to tell me I am wrong.

It is rather disturbing to me how you don't comprehend the importance of the formative years. In your profession, that would have been included in your studies. Even if a child does not remember it all, it formed their opinions and development. Maybe your profession has stopped studying pyschology or social services.

I understand what the both of you are teaching us about the dangers Muslims pose toward us as a nation. You're right. Muslims are very dangerous. I see even the moderates as time bombs. What I'm primarily taking issue with is the idea that Obama is a Muslim. I honestly don't believe he is. He is a liberal Christian, no doubt about that, but I don't believe he's a Muslim. In fact I believe that false accusations discredit us. False accusations make us look paranoid and irrational. I assure you, if Obama is some secret Muslim plant the political machine of the Republican Party will solidly reveal it for all to see and verify. I believe we're just dealing with a liberal here. If we discredit ourselves publicly, no one is going to believe us. And some day, it may matter. For example, I heard a pastor say that Obama was raised Muslim and attended a Madrassa, or whatever it's called. He raved about it for a while and it was a mess of both internet rumor and his own imagination. I just listened thinking...how can I ever trust a preacher again, especially this preacher? I began thinking of all the wonderful miracles he had testified about in sermons, miracles I believed. I can't believe him anymore. I certainly can't teach my son to trust his word or believe his stories. When we repeat, say, or claim outlandish false stories about people we loose all creditability.

So yes, I'm with you on Muslims. I think they should be watch-listed and if any questionable activity takes place their mosques should be shut down and the leadership held for questioning. But we should save the warnings for true threats not allowing fear and paranoia to provoke us to overreacting.

Those are just my thoughts.
