Another great post PO! Right back to common sense! Ultimately it comes down to: it doesn't matter what you wear. It's WHO YOU ARE, that counts.
We DO have biblical instructions on THAT. The Bible instructs us to be MODERATE in all things, that includes dress. And that homosexuality is an abomination.
Don't be immodest; indecent/shameless according to the society/culture you live in.
Don't be an abomination in your gender distinction. If you're a man, be a man! Act like a man, work like a man, think like a man, smell like a man! And vice-versa for the women. It doesn't take clothing to determine that.
Keep breakin' it on down for us girlfriend!
That's not always a good thing.

"She started it!!!", she cried as she skipped away. See ya later!
If you're going to be a man, and work like a man, you gotta smell like a man too!!! Not always pleasant, but I would expect NOTHING less!!!
Now that I think of it...I was in the catering tent yesterday at the Extreme Makeover site, during the hottest part of the day, serving lunch to dozens of men that were dirty and SWEATY!!! But funny, I do NOT remember it being smelly AT ALL!

I sure wouldn't want to hug any basketball players right after a game - "To the showers, men!"

Now, Prax, in all practicality and for the sake of just plain old common sense - WHY does the scripture even address a man even attempting to put on a woman's clothing?
In their time period it was part of the pagan rituals of sacrifice to don the clothes of the opposite sex and have licentious sexual activities.
Now, if that was not even happening, WHY would the Word even speak of a man donning a woman's clothing - just for fun or what?
The distinction of sexes - my goodness - that is just ridiculous for me to comprehend. If the Word is worried about a man wearing a woman's clothing then - hello - something is rotten in Denmark - just logically.
It isn't speaking of gender distinction. It is speaking of existing and living the part of the opposite sex - the abomination.
Common sense says that if the pagans are doing it then there is a very good reason why God would warn against doing it. Good grief. Pagans did that which was contrary to God's will for man. They not only mixed dress, but committed fornication and homosexuality. Why WOULDN'T the bible warn against it? It's common sense. The WORD got it right, in fact even in our day and age we see men dressing up like women and vise versa.
The bible also warns of cutting themselves like the pagans did. Offering sons and daughters in fire to Molech like the pagans did. The Pagans didn't have a problem with blurring the distinction in sexes and that blurring was related to demonic worship it seems by what you are saying (Pagans did not worship God), so why wouldn't it make sense to you?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
You may be speaking of SOME here, but don't discount the others who spent hours/days/weeks/months/years of study, travailed on their knees in prayer, seeking out God's direction for these areas of their lives.
This is one person who didn't just take someone's word for it, and instantly decide to just 'drop' standards. It was a long, arduous, heart-wrenching journey, filled with seeking after God.
I am not trying to suggest anything about any one in particular here. but what ive said represents reality. there are also a lot of people who have had to work to get rid of the stuff some men said in their own flesh.
I am not the arbitor or which is what. I expect each of us to be grown up enough to act like it.
