Re: Bott 2020
It is all part of a Doomsdaying ideaolgy within ecclesia.
It’s a mindset the sees everything supposedly getting worse. Therefore home runs aren’t shouted over, but failings are? I’m not saying anyone who posted in this forum thinks this way. But alas some want to see the sun go down instead of the son rise up.

She said she found help and counseling and her medical doctor explained what her body was doing and what it needed. She was given medication which she no longer takes.
She said she is past that season in her life.
She encouraged people who are hurting and depressed and have anxiety, and who look at their life and find no reason for it, to not be ashamed but to find help. She did not mention what kind of help or push meds or therapy.
This is absolutely UNTRUE!
MtD mentioned bearing false witness in another thread. I disagreed with his example; however, this is a clear case of bearing false witness against both this Minister's wife and the conference. Both were accused of releasing some demonic spirit.
An apology would be appropriate.

She never mentioned depression medication. She said her medical doctor, not a psychiatrist, prescribed medication.... Which she is no longer taking.
The Sister said she went to a counselor, then was referred to a doctor upon which she started taking medication... What was she talking about? Depression and Anxiety.
She said to the audience that might be dealing with what??? Depression and Anxiety, she told them to find help! What help did she receive? Counseling from a counselor, and then to the doctor for medication. I said in my original post the therapist part I might’ve got mixed with the Pastor that has the Down syndrome child.
Her Husband said they done everything they could do, before going to see the counselor and then to the doctor. If I’m in the church and I’m going through a problem and I tell people Ive done everything I know, what does that mean? That means I prayed, fasted, talked to my Pastor. Maybe I should not have assumed that but thats how I took it.
I’m sorry to everyone in this forum it was not my intention to misrepresent anyone. I saw the forum on being made whole from BOTT 2020. I was grieved when I heard this Sis. State that she was on depression medication. I understand n David you dont think she was, but she said depression, and anxiety and even told the audience to seek help like she did. She went to the counselor and then to a doctor to receive her medication. I understand n David she didn't say what type of help she should seek, yet she gave the help she took, what does it do to others, I’m feeling depressed or have anxiety I’m going to go to a counselor and then to a doctor for meds. You and others may agree, but I don't.
I don't feel I fabricated this story, if you feel that way I’m sorry.
I watched it once and was disappointed in what she was saying helped her, i didn't have the luxury to go back and listen again, I took the major points
she was depleted,
she dealt with depression/anxiety
her husband said they did everything they could think of before going to counseling and then referred to the doctor
She took medication for depression/anxiety
She urged others to get help like she did.
Like I said I’m sorry if I misrepresented any of that, if you feel I lied I’m sorry, if you feel I fabricated please forgive me. If you feel having depression and anxiety is a chemical imbalance and natural to have, then forgive me for using her as an example of what we shouldn’t be doing. If you believe depression and anxiety meds are ok to take from a doctor after seeing a counselor then I’m sorry for offending you. My views are not your views, I believe depression and anxiety are spirits, I believe those type of meds are opens doors to demonic activity. I believe in going to the Counselor not a worldly counselor.
however, this is a clear case of bearing false witness against both this Minister's wife and the conference. Both were accused of releasing some demonic spirit.
Brother she went to a counselor!!! WHY???? She said she was depleted, think about that, what does she mean? Was it her physical body? She talked about depression and anxiety, taking medication for.... no she didn’t come out and say “I’m taking medication for Depression and Anxiety.” If it was for something simple, why go see a counselor? Then go to the doctor and she was prescribed medication for what? She told the congregation, if your dealing with depression and anxiety (if she wasn’t dealing with that why mentioned it) she encouraged them to seek help. She’s the leader up there talking about it, if there is someone there struggling with depression or anxiety there going to do what she did. And as you pointed out she didn't pray or fast, I at least gave her the benefit of the doubt when her husband said “we did everything we knew to do”. I’m sorry but to stick up and agree to take meds for depression or anxiety in my option is wrong. If I got the story wrong and totally fabricated a story from thin air, I undertook your anger. But I don't believe I did. I may of got a word here or there off, because it was a forum with 5 people talking, what i said didn’t change the outlining of what she said.
If I bear false witness to this women, and to the conference I’m sorry. I will not be coming back for a while. Once I see that people feel I lied, bear false witness, fabricated a story its time to stop.

Thats not why I posted! I posted about depression because thats what this Sis. was talking about. And she’s not the only one, when i posted that I read others are in the same boat. It’s not about wanting to see someone fail, its about knowing what’s going on around you and in the church.

So if a physician determines that someone has a chemical imbalance which is causing their depression, it is your opinion that is not physical but a spirit?

I have spoken to people who were THERE, not just observers of a video or taking someone's third hand interpretation of the events.
The first hand report is that it was a powerful session, so it leads me to this question, not just for you but all of us...
Going with Brother Beni's point if the doomsday mentality in the Church... why do we always seem to favor looking at motives and the worst possible scenario? Why can we not just thank the Lord for someone's victory testimony and for the sacrifice made in giving it before thousands of people? Why can't we be thankful for the moving of the Holy Ghost in a congregation of baptized believers without nitpicking over our preferences and differences of opinion?
“Whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there are any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” ( Philippians 4:8).

Easy ole buddy, if you read my post I posted that I didn’t think anyone here believed that way. Snickers and Misty Edwards all around.

This brings to mind something in another thread. St Matthew pops in since being gone for years and is greeted with “are you still Apostolic?” It’s like everything has to get worse, not better.

I'm told that link isn't working. Dropbox shows sharing is enabled and it can be accessed, not sure why it's not working.
Here's another link to it using OneDrive. Let me know if it's not working.

Never met a doctor that would not give that as their diagnosis.
