Re: American Idol
When I heard Kris was safe, I thought sure Danny would go... based on the Tuesday night performance. I am PLEASED he squeaked through!!! (or should I say "shrieked" through)
I think those that have been voting for Allison week after week will now vote for Adam.
No worries. They are all winners who will have successful singing careers.

Re: American Idol
You know, Allison's a good singer ... for NASCAR. If you watch a lot of her performances, you can barely understand what she's singing ... or screaming. Seriously, she jumbles words all together, and I could almost promise you one performance (I'll have to see if I can find it on iTunes or YouTube), it's like she forgot the words and just mumbled into the mic.
Danny was very lucky not to get voted off. His was the worst performance of the week. Hopefully there's no "Alternative" genre week or anything remotely close to another rock-type week.

Re: American Idol
So... what's the reaction?
I thought Danny's performances were boring. I've been a fan all along, but he hasn't been doing anything lately to really stand out beyond what he's done all along. I'm worried for him.

Re: American Idol
I thought Danny did great as usual. All three are strong contenders but I hope Danny wins.
There is a backlash against Danny online that I can only attribute to anti Christianism as he has done nothing to deserve it. I even read a columnist who bashes him admit today that they have no real reason to do it. I am guessing it is those with a liberal new age and gay lesbian agenda who abhor the idea of an evangelical Christian winning. Especially when they have their own horse in the race with Adam Lambert.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I think that's a stretch. I agree that Adam has the gay vote, but I really just think Danny has a taste for adult contemporary-style music that makes his song choices and arrangements kind of uninspired. You are so Beautiful? What a bore. I'd love to see a Christian win, but he's not doing it for me. I actually didn't like Adam's performances last night either. I thought Chris won the night.

Re: American Idol
After last week's terrible ending, and from what I've heard of Kris' performance this week ... I, too, am afraid for Mr. Gokey.

Agree w/ both of you. Would have liked to see Danny win, but he has become boring. You Are So Beautiful, sounded like a bland Taylor Hicks rendition, BAD!
Adam's songs were chopped and his performances were not good. That Aerosmith song was NOT good!
Kris did a really good job last night, his arrangement of Heartless was really good and unexpected.
I'm afraid it could be Danny's final curtain tonight?
