They've accepted my independent streak .... well, somewhat. LoL I know they'd rather I go to a UPC church instead of Christ Life Church (Goldsberry) and other Independent churches, but I have a lot of friends and acquaintances from other places that aren't UPC.
And most know how mixed up the AZ UPC is. I'd rather not get too involved. I haven't been to a district event in almost 2 years. Too political and way too conservative. By conservative I mean, at district events their idea of a fast song is "You Are Good," and even then some may walk out because of that worldly music. LoL
