OK Strait,
I reread what has been said here in light of your "political postulating" comment.
I apologize... I was not reading this in the narrowed context of the coming "vote" concerning TV advertising.
Mine were general statements regarding the other things DA was sharing... Outside the box thinking in general and reaching and connecting with the younger generation.
Certainly, I think it is plausable that TG may have wanted to make a "statement about how he envisions the future of the fellowship at this ... his last Youth Congress..."
But how any of this directly connects with a church advertising on TV is beyond me. It is, or should be, a non-issue in my opinion.

I don't think she should have been on display perhaps at this event because it does seem like a slight contradiction in view of what the UPC stands for in regard to holiness, etc.
I think the fact that Oneness Pentecostals viewed themselves as being "on the other side of the tracks" for so long makes them a little starry eyed when important people (however you define that) come around.

Half the UPC ministry is celebrity status. We got preachers everyone knows their names and singers etc etc

I thought that might be what they meant, but that's really NOT what Trouvere said. Rather she said that going to church and being a celebraity does not mean that person is praying or that God approves, which is true of anyone. Going to church and being a fireman does not mean that person prays or that God approves

to bare means to expose something that has been concealed or hidden....for 8 yrs the Pentecostal Herald did not feature her and now they are showcasing her....that's all.

Has she been doing the voice for the last 8 years? Besides what difference does it make? They could have done it last year too because the TV thing is not new.
