You are right.
As I rode through the country side, I tried so hard to identify certain land marks over the landscape. Since it has been so long ago since I have traveled some of these old roads some of which were bordered by cotton fields, occasional store, a cotten gin, tractor dealership, and other landmarks now removed, I could no longer tell where the cotton field was, the tractor dealership, the cotton gin and so many other landmarks. It is gone with the wind. Change has come, so it has in the spiritual landscape of which some call progress and development. But the change has been so gradual, I am sure that the long time residents here hardly knew that it happened to them.
There was aunt Hattie and uncle Jake's farm somewhere in here? But, with this new subdivision, I can tell exactly where it was. All I know it was just East of a certain country road, but even the country road is obscured by the new interstate that runs through here.
The change is here, minds have been fashioned, spirits that were once subdued are now loud and even rule in some cases. The atmosphere has changed. You sense it when you travel the spiritual highways, looking for the old landmarks. The grandkids scarecly know who the grandparents were or what was wrought by them and their sacrifices...having little to no memory, much less appreciation or love.
Not long ago, Marie and I were traveling toward a certain small city. Before we arrived we topped a hill. Simultaneously, our breaths were taken away. We each looked at the other and simultaneously said to the other, "DID YOU FEEL THAT???" There was an instant change in the spirit as we topped the hill.
Of course all of this is subjective lacking scientific validation which some want. It is not there in the material world. Yet the spiritual world unknown by most is a confused egnima...still insisting on scientific or natural validation.

Brother Strange,
I just keep remembering a message preached at our first camp meeting after the Texas division. I don't know the preacher's name as my daughter relayed part of the message to me, but he said he had a dream of a huge brass ball crashing into a house and knocking it down.
He said that God spoke to him and said, "Now, I'm going to build it the way I intended it to be built."
I don't worry about change because in the heart of man that true spirit of travail and burden is ever present and when God moves us into that, we get the job done.
I believe we shortchange mistakes. It is my personal opinion that mistakes must be made to open our eyes and cause us to see further then where we are or where we have been. JMHO.
Hope you are enjoying yourself. I know you will glean the best and continue following after God's spirit.

I knew William Branham when he was a true prophet. He gave into a spirit of error. His prophesies became hit and miss.
I worked for a world reknown true prophet for over a year, traveling with him to many parts under some of the largest tents and auditoriums. He subcumed to the temptation of falling into a spirit of error which also led him and by which he prophesied. I saw it firsthand, up close and personal. Sadly, I had to leave. However, in the last couple of years, I have seen that he has rejected that spirit and today, I believe he is operating under the spirit of truth. God had mercy on him and has granted him true repentance. This seldom happens. There is no hit and miss in a mature prophet that is operating in the spirit of truth.
But, to explain what I am talking about here for a novice to fully grasp it, would be an impossible task on a forum.

Lemme see if I get this right. You go from "I am disheartened over the demonic influence over so and so" to "I'm not worried about being sued over what I am saying" to "y'all wouldn't understand it anyway." Ooooooooooooook.

I know what you are saying...and I agree.
But, I suppose I need to quit confusing people by speaking in these terms. I've said enough that is not understood.
Whe the state of conscience is altered by chants, there is no telling what sort of spirit will come in. I've seen the spirit of error come in and sweep away whole crowds of people all the while thinking that it was the Holy Ghost.
Yeah, Elder Epley may think that I am delusional too.
Oh well, I've said far too much already.
Let him that has an ear, hear my deepest heart-felt concerns here.
Go back and read my initial post... 'nuff said.

Is that what the gifts are for? In a UPCI camp meet at that?
