You are very kind, Brother, and I do appreciate the confidence.

While there is certainly procedure in place in our bylaws to deal with the removal of a pastor, the reality is that as long as I preach the truth and stay clean morally, my "position" is very secure, because of the trust these very kind people place in me.
I am blessed not to have had to deal with much strife and infighting and conflict in the church I have pastored for ten years now.
I guess the Lord knew He needed to send me to a place where people were kind and easy to lead.

Well, for whatever it is worth, I believe you have a good approach to explaining your beliefs. I really don't consider myself conservative or liberal, but if I were interested in going back to a life without tv and some of these other issues, you are the kind of person I would be willing to give trusting a shot at being my pastor.

Amen Bro!!! I had some red flags about this one pastor that I thought was me, but I found out that it was true. I had to give it to God and He took care of the issue.

There was a pastor that I met and when I first saw him, there were red flags that was there, but I thought it was my flesh giving me red flags. After a while, I found out that the red flags that I was given, was correct. It was really sad for me, but I can't make a pastor to be honest and I won't try to make one to be honest. Does this explain it better?

Sad but it's true, Bitterness and Un-forgiveness is all about an absolute lack of Christian maturity. If someone is always taking everything personal then they will either get over it or internalize it and keep it in and produce a mantra that they bore everyone with or annoy everyone with.

Working out our OWN salvation is keeping the mindset that other members in the community cannot cause us to lose out if we keep the main thing the main thing.

First you should ask yourself why? Forgive them Father for they KNOW NOT what they do, so if they don't know what's up then keep going forward.

That's because that is all you have as a religious experience, but I work with everyone from Mormon to Muslims that have been offended within their religious movements. Believe me people get offended because they're expecting others to be at some certain level that they are not. We place our stock in some guru or god man and we become messed up when the mask slips off our hero. Listen Jesus never did me nothing but good!

So, why wait until the accident happens to get insurance, we are supposed to be getting our good stuff together before we trip over an obstacle. If you keep oil in your vehicle you won't blow your engine.

You actually think it is that easy? It's not and I thank God it is not that easy.

The thing is that they knew what they were doing wrong, because it was brought to their attention and they ignored it. So, in that instance, it was not easy to forgive, because when you're having the experience, you will see how hard it is.

This is sad, but is also funny because you don't know the experiences that I have had. I don't have religious experiences, but I do have experiences that God has done in my life and I am thankful for what He has allowed me to go through.

I don't know and it still doesn't change the drama that happens.

Ummm, well, when someone claims to represent the supreme being of the universe, people are going to hold them to a higher standard based on the claim that that person has made...
