Ferd, every new year people make their resolutions saying they will go to the gym, get in shape, and all that good stuff....they say it with honest intention and are not "lying" about it....but the fact is, that 9 out of 10 times, when it comes down to taking inventory at the end of the year, they failed to commit...were they lying....not at all.
Having said that, LAG and Dan are not calling PP a liar by placing their bet that he would buckle if given the opportunity....
the differnence is we are talking about someones comments about their long standing religious conviction. not the "this year is going to be different Im gonna change" new years lie to yourself....
there is a very big difference.... but im with you on the box thing...i think!

Priscilla is Pastor Don Evans' of Dallas daughter, she spoke at a ladies meeting at our church a couple of years ago. I believe they are Baptists, very well respected. But the Apostle Peter had a long-standing religious conviction too...he was a die-hard, he's the one that would whip out his sword and cut off the ears of punks that jumped up to get beat down....Pete-Roc was not lying when he he adamently said he would never deny Christ....but again, things happen and circumstances change...perhaps, given the opp...PP would not speak for the President of the United States of America...but if Dan were a betting man, he'd bank on PP balking....that aint calling him a liar in my estimation...

Your friendship determines your allegiance. If I had said it about Daniel, you would be objecting in a big way.
YOu know when Peter was speaking to the gentiles the text never says a thing about Peter speaking in tongues in front of those gentiles...rather while he was ministering to them the Spirit fell on the gentiles and THEY spoke in tongues...
Now I have to wonder what Peter would have done if he were some of these people here when God told him to go there and preach the word (not speak in tongues)? "NO way, that would be compromising. They are gentiles"
