There are many things I would love to say unto you, but ye are not able to bear them at this time.
I will bow to your obvious expertise and vast experience in this rather offbeat but obviously (for you) captivating subject.
I would hope that you let your moderation be known to all men, and that you would, forgetting those things that are behind, press on toward the mark for the prize of the high calling.
Some things are best done deliberately or not at all.

I find it interesting that very few sermons focus on this issue. Is viewing porn considered normal, manly, and a rite of passage?
For the most part all you hear is sound bites concerning this subject. It is a very difficult thing for men to be open about, but there definitely needs to be good counsel available. Very few churches cover this issue adequately.

I am not sure I would agree. Keep in mind the type of body we are dealing with and the fact that the ideal is to trust the integrity of licensed ministry. Although it fails at times, it usually works.
Have you ever read the actual procedure for dealing with these offences?
I think the case of the fallen charismatic minister in Colorado demonstrated very sound wisdom in having effective policies and accountabity in place before it was needed. He had no cover or to way to get around his indiscretions.
He knew that ahead of time. It was a fair policy all the way around and one that took the wind out of the media sails.
Trust and integrity about adultery? But they have to sign an affirmation statement every two years? Our priorities are out of whack!
