The man acts like he's in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, Sister. You want him to be your president? You should be embarassed that he is the best the Republican Party had to offer. Even the Republicans didn't consider him to be a Republican a few years ago.

I know he is stubborn to a fault, but he wasn't afraid to stand for the surge when it was unpopular with his own party and him knowing he would be running for the presidency because he knew he was right. By all accounts he was. I can honor that type of character. He has done that on other issues as well.

This is the type of man I want for a President. I don't see that type of character in Obama.

You don't see Obama standing for the things he believes in?

No, I really don't, honestly, Rico. I see an arrogancy in him and I feel a dishonesty with that. It's just the way I view him. It's just my gut feeling and I have to go with that.

If you watch and listen to him as opposed to someone like Bobby Jindal, there is a big difference in perception.

I've listened to several of the things Obama has said, and I don't find him to be arrogant. Confident, yes. Arrogant, no. He seems to me to be a man who understands the importance of making room for all of our citizens to enjoy the same freedoms. I don't think for a second that he and his wife would agree to getting an abortion, but he knows it's not his place to make that decision for someone else. He says he has a relationship with Christ, and I don't find any reason to think he's lying. He just knows he has to make room for those who don't. I don't agree with his plan to raise taxes, although I doubt I will ever make enough money to be affected by his plan personally. I agree with him that the time has come for our troops to come home from Iraq, but I don't think he will be able to accomplish it as quickly as he'd like. I agree with him that we need to move back to using a diplomatic approach in dealing with our enemies, like Iran. We can't solve all the problems with our enemies using military strength.

One thing is certain. I don't believe all this hype about him being a Muslim and all this nonsense about his name. All these fear tactics people are using concerning Barack Obama are just that, fear tactics.

Re: Barak Obama Clinches Democratic Nomination

Obama DOES stand for one thing.
1. 1.4 TRILLION Dollars in new spending with no way to pay for it.
2. this week he has stated he is FOR these high gas prices... he just wishes they had gone up slower.
3. Losing the war in Iraq even in the face of victory.
4. Raising the price of Gas (taxing the businesses) to lower the price of gas.
5. Meeting unconditionally with our enemies..... even using the failed policy of JFK as justification.
6. Following the economic policy of HERBERT HOOVER as a prescription for the current economic slow down.

Rico, you can believe in that all you want. As for me and my house, we remain distrustful of any who think like Obama! (see above)

But thanks for praying for my family WE NEED IT!

With great love.....

Ferd!

Brother, I have no problem with separating political differences from loving my brothers and sisters in Christ, so don't worry about these political discussions affecting my opinion of you. I prayed for your wife and son while all that was going on and would do so again in a heartbeat, even if you are a rightwing nut!
