I realize it's not about the perfect church. I'll never find one that fits me perfectly, and if I could, then when I modify any of my beliefs again, I'll have to find a brand new one. I've realize it's not about the church being perfect, probably more now than ever. In fact I do want to be able to attend apostolic churches again and not get so bothered by what the preacher is saying and wondering how he could even say it. It's not only them that I seem to have problems with. Baptist churches aren't my fancy either, and I imagine most of the church world wouldn't be either. I seem to have problems with much of what I hear from any pulpit. It's not just minor disagreements either. The principles I hear them preach about and everything just doesn't feel right to me. This happens so often for me throughout the service that I usually leave thinking wow, he really said all that. It's not about finding a perfect church for me anymore. It's about finding a church where enough of what is preached feels right to me. Maybe I'm the one so wrong and it's my spirit that screwed up on these issues. But, as long as I believe as I do it seems church preaching isn't much of an option for me.

Then go to a methodist church nitehawk. I'm sure it'll feel just as wrong to you as I find churches in general wrong to me. Oh wait, I guess you want someone to tickle your ears too...

If what they preach is biblically sound then why not go? So far as I know, not many Methodists preaching biblical things like ONeness and Acts2:38.

So far I'm not sure which of those doctrines are biblical and which are not... oh well for that theory about wanting my ears tickled.

Oneness not Biblical?
Acts 2:38 not Biblical?

I'm not sure on either. If you was to ask my opinion, I would say that neither is, but I'm still not sure.

Jfrog, you don't seem sure about anything.

After you've had to modify your views as much as me you wouldn't be so sure of all your current beliefs either

Re: Interesting note from another AFF thread

Do you know of any churches in California that not only teach this Apostolic truth but the truth about tithing, I mean they don't practice tithing? I have about had it with what I consider truth church with false doctrine to suit their needs for comfortable income that just bypasses the whole meaning of truth. I am in California and would like to know if their are any Apostolic churces here that believe like you good brothers do. God showed me the truth about the falseness of the tithing doctrine and OI told my pastor at the time and he took a text in front of the whole church about me and I was devastated. I don't know what is going to happen to them on judgement day concerning this but it probably won't be good. Anyway please answer if there are any in California that you know of brothers. I appreciate this forum here and I have not been here for a long time. This tithing thing is a very terrible thing and I use to do it faithfully until I found out the truth about it.
